The flowers of this vine resemble pea flowers, and in fact,
Groundnut is a member of the pea family. While the flowers are extremely
beautiful, they are not the only thing this plant has to offer; the plant has
edible tubers which were eaten by Indians and pilgrims, both in stews, and
fried like potatoes. The Groundnut vine prefers swampy, low-lying areas,
and tends to grow quickly and spread rapidly.
