Arrowhead Sagittaria latifolia

This picture shows the Arrowhead plant in its favorite environment; a lush green swamp. Though they can also be found in lakes and along rivers, swamps are the best location for them, and the one in which they are most likely to be found bearing their beautiful little white flowers. The Latin name, Sagittaria, means "arrow."
