Swamp Smartweed Polygonum coocineum

Swamp Smartweed is a slightly larger direct relative of Lady's Thumb, and all the other terrestrial Smartweeds. The genus name, Polygonum, means "many-knees," and refers to the many joints in the plant's stem.
