Peperomia Peperomia |
 |
|
Peperomia is a pretty and sedate houseplant which grows well under
average room conditions. The main identifying characteristics of the variety
shown here are its thick shiny leaves with a swirly pale-and-dark-green pattern,
and its woody stems, but there are a few other varieties which are routinely
found as well, including several trailing types, and some varieties which
strongly resemble jade plants. Peperomias kept as houseplants require regular,
but not too frequent, watering, and they rarely need, or want, to be re-potted.
They reproduce very easily from stem cuttings.
